FAQ
Common questions
Do I need experience to join a class?
+
No experience needed. Coaches introduce technique from the ground up. You'll be shown proper stance, footwork, and striking mechanics throughout the class. For those beginning, we recommend Level 1 and footwork classes.
What should I bring to class?
+
Wear breathable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. If you have hand wraps, bring them. If not, we sell them at the front desk and coaches will wrap you before you hit the floor. Club gloves are available to borrow for your first session so you don't need to buy anything before you try.
How do I book a class?
+
Book directly through the schedule on this page, or through the 161 Boxing app. If you're on a membership, simply eserve your spot. Drop-ins and class packs are also available if you're not ready to commit to a membership yet.
How early should I arrive?
+
Aim to arrive 10 minutes or earlier to class. Give yourself time to stretch, put on boxing gear, and socialize with the other club members!
What is the $99 Intro Offer?
+
The intro offer is designed for anyone new to 161. For $99 you get 3 classes plus a 1-on-1 private session. Enough to get a feel for the floor, learn the basics from a coach directly, and figure out which class type suits your goals before committing to a membership.
